1960s Red Crocheted Silk Suit

Sublimely sophisticated Parisian custom-made suit. Sweater top has button-front and abbreviated sleeves. Skirt has center-back zip and hook. Fabric consists of silk yarn of cranberry red and black in an open basket-weave pattern, lined with sheer cranberry red silk voile. Please note: you're viewing images taken with a flash, and there's reflection from the silk yarn. Skirt had been taken down, and we basted it to a length of 28" - you can take it to whatever length you like, up to 30" (hemline should be restitched.) Skirt is lined in olive green faille. Two labels: one for maker - Daisy Sorene, 20 Rue St. Didier, Paris, and one in French which describes yarns used and their weights. Oooh-la-la.
